If your pet has been brought to the safety of our shelter, a reclaim procedure dictated by state statute will be followed.

To reclaim your stray dog, proof of current rabies vaccination and current license requirements must be met. If neither of these are available, arrangements can be made before reclaiming your dog to satisfy these legal requirements. These requirements are not required to reclaim a cat.

A reclaim fee of $25.00 for the first day your pet was held at Arnell and $10.00 for each day after that will be assessed on the day of reclaim. The reclaim fee is required for dogs and cats.

You may reclaim your pet during business hours, 11 am to 4 pm, Mon – Sat. Arnell Humane Society is not open on holidays or Sundays. Reclaim fees will include the care given to your pet on the days Arnell is closed. (715) 268-7387.

A list of stray pets brought to our shelter will be posted at our front entrance for after hours inquiries.

If your lost pet is not at our shelter, we may know where it has been found. Please contact the shelter with information regarding your lost pet. We maintain a lost and found file in our shelter. This file lists dates an animal was lost or found, breed and contact information.
