Miss Essie came to our shelter on March 28, 2008 as a stray.  She gave us unconditional love and a dissapproving look every once in awhile when the puppy barking became too loud, but she never lost her vim and vigor for a walk and a treat.  She felt she belonged up off of the floor and jumped into a lounge chair whenever given the chance.   She seemed to say, "This is where I belong; on my throne." 

We are happy to say that Ms. Essie found a wonderful home after six weeks of looking.  She rewarded her new guardian with a kiss before going home to rule the roost in her new digs.
